Today I talk all things books with Sara Masarik who happens to be an expert on the subject. Sara started Plumfield Library out of her home after a friend asked if she would help her find the right books for her daughter.
Sara had already been podcasting about books and literary reviews when she was approached by her friend. She began to loan books to her friend from her own personal library when she felt an internal nudge.
“I felt like the Lord was suggesting strongly that this was something I was supposed to do,” she stated. She began to organize her basement into a working library, and her friend’s family became the beta testers.
From there, she built Plumfield Library. Throughout the interview, Sara offers a wealth of information regarding authors to read, websites to visit, and publishing houses to research when looking for good books for young people.
It’s a fascinating interview full of valuable information for anyone who loves good books and desires the same for their children.
